In soccer coaching drills, one cannot believe how a coach can ignore the passing drills. Passing is an integral part of soccer and without mastering this skill; your team can hardly expect to win matches. In youth soccer drills, include a variety of sports and events in order to hone the player’s talent of passing the ball.

Educate them about the basics: Begin with the elementary steps. Split the team and make two teams having a separate ball. Tell them to practice passing the ball within themselves.

The idea is to identify each player’s strengths and weaknesses. It also shows the amount of training that each player requires in passing the ball. You are then in a position to evaluate each player’s growth.

The Moving Circle: There are a lot of games that help players learn effective passing. An interesting soccer coaching drill is where two players in a team stand in a circle of remaining team members.

Two players inside the circle will then try and catch hold of the ball when it is thrown amongst those in circle. The one who is able to successfully intercept the ball is replaced by the player outside the circle and the game continues. A great feature of these soccer practice drills is that they introduce an element of fun along with learning and practice.
